Transfer News: Barca player on Arsenal bid, Chelsea medical, Everton snub, Man Utd deal
EXPRESS SPORT brings you the latest transfer news.
Everything you need to know about Patrick Bamford
Chelsea transfer news
Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford is having a medical at Middlesbrough.
Bamford, 23, returned on loan from Burnley earlier this season and has now headed to Teeside to complete a permanent move to Middlesbrough.
The forward enjoyed a successful stint on loan at Boro two seasons ago and has since failed to break into the Chelsea first team.
Boro will pay £10million for Bamford, who is set to sign a five-year contract at the Riverside.
Barcelona transfer news
Meanwhile, Barcelona midfielder Sergio Samper has revealed he snubbed an offer to join Arsenal two years ago.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger approached Samper over a deal back in 2015.
But the Spaniard - who is currently on loan at Granada - told Spanish newspaper Sport that he didn't even look at Arsenal's proposal.
"I did not want to even listen to Wenger," he said.
"I made it clear to him that I wanted to stay, that I wanted to triumph at Barca, that I was a Cule fanatic and that making it at Barca in the future would make me the happiest."

Everton transfer news
QPR have dropped their interest in Everton striker Arouna Kone because the player's wages are too high.
Championship side QPR were interested in landing Kone but were not willing to match his £40,000-a-week wages.
It was hoped a deal would be struck so that Everton would contribute to Kone's salary.
But Sky Sports claim the Toffees wanted Rangers to pay the full amount, leading the Loftus Road side to drop their interest and begin looking for a new forward target.
Manchester United's Joe Riley has moved to Sheffield United
Manchester United transfer news
Manchester United midfielder Joe Riley has gone on loan to Sheffield United until the end of the season.
United confirmed the 20-year-old has agreed to join the League One club.
"When you hear Sheffield United (are interested) you think of the massive club, the fans," Riley told SheffieldUTube.
"I've had the manager on the phone and they've shown a lot of interest.

"Obviously I'm delighted to have come here and hopefully get playing now.
"I had a slight injury to my hamstring but the manager has been consistent.
"I've had a few phone calls from different members of the Blades showing interest (in me).
"So I couldn't say no to be honest. I've been delighted to get down here. I needed minutes under my belt and finally I've done that now.
"I'm ready to play now. If selected I'm 100 per cent ready for Saturday, yeah definitely."
