Tottenham transfer edging closer: Club to bid for £10m midfielder this week
TOTTENHAM are bracing themselves for a bid from Hull for midfielder Ryan Mason this week, according to reports.
Hull are reportedly ready to make a bid for Tottenham's Ryan Mason this week
The 25-year-old broke into the Spurs first team in 2014 after impressing Mauricio Pochettino during their pre-season tour of America.
He was handed his Premier League debut by the Argentine in a 1-1 draw against rivals Arsenal and has established himself as a regular in Pochettino's side.
His impressive form at White Hart Lane saw him rewarded with a five-and-a-half-year contract in 2015, tying him down to the club until 2020.
However, he endured an injury-hit season last term, making 22 top-flight appearances as Spurs went onto finish third in the league.
And his lack of regular game time has cast doubt over his future, especially after the club completed the £11million signing of Victor Wanyama from Southampton.
The emergence of Eric Dier and the return to form of Mousa Dembele has not helped Mason's case either.

And the Daily Mail claim newly-promoted Hull are ready to capitalise on this uncertainty by lodging a bid for Mason this week.
It is said Tigers boss Steve Bruce is keen on signing Mason and hopes that Spurs old boys Tom Huddlestone and Jake Livermore will convince him to move to the KC Stadium.
The Sun report that Spurs are ready to sell Mason and will listen to offers from Hull.
It is claimed Mason will cost around £10m.
