Manchester United are reportedely keeping tabs on Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko
The 21-year-old first came to prominence when he broke into the first-team ranks at Rennes where he made 24 appearances and scored one goal.
His impressive form saw him secure a move to Monaco in 2014, but he has only managed to muster up 22 appearances for the club.
He made 21 of those last season and is contracted to the club until 2019, but could be set for the exit door with as he does not seem to be part of Leonardo Jardim's plans.
And France Football claim this uncertainty over his future has put United on alert.
Mourinho has already made waves in the transfer window by signing Eric Bailly from Villarreal and securing a deal for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and he is keen to bolster United's ranks further as they look to reach the summit of the Premier League once again.
The report adds Bakayoko is mulling over proposals from Stoke and Southampton, who are also interested in the France Under-21 defensive midfielder.
