Sevilla negotiate £11m Soldado transfer as Tottenham eye Belgium international replacement
TOTTENHAM are negotiating with Sevilla over the sale of Roberto Soldado, according to reports.
Roberto Soldado is set to leave Tottenham after scoring just seven league goals in two years
Chairman Daniel Levy has set 30-year-old Soldado's value at £11million in the hope Sevilla will end the striker's nightmare stint at White Hart Lane.
Soldado, 30, scored just five goals last season, adding to his 11 netted in the 2013/14 campaign.
He cost Spurs £26m two summers ago but has failed to live up to the reputation earned when scoring freely for Valencia.
And the Mirror now report that Europa League holders Sevilla are seeking to bring the Spaniard back to the Liga.
The club are willing to match Soldado's £40,000-a-week wages after tax as they search for a replacement for Carlos Bacca.
Bacca was sold to Milan this summer after a match-winning performance in the Europa League final.
Tottenham - Most Expensive Transfers
Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettinho, meanwhile, is keen to secure Belgium international Michy Batshuayi's £9m switch from Marseille.
Batshuayi, 21, scored 10 goals for Marseille last season, helping the club to a fourth place finish in Ligue 1.
