Neil Redfearn to hold talks with Massimo Cellino NEXT WEEK over Leeds future
LEEDS UNITED boss Neil Redfearn expects to sit down with club president Massimo Cellino next week in a bid to secure his future at the club.
Neil Redfearn expects talks with Massimo Cellino next week
Redfearn reaffirmed his desire to continue in the role following today's goalless draw against Rotherham at Elland Road.
Cellino's ban from having any executive influence at the club expires on Sunday and he must decide whether to renew Redfearn's contract, which runs out in June.
The Italian chose not to attend the season finale despite being given permission by the Football League to attend as a spectator only.
I would expect next week we'll sit down and chat
"I've had no contact as such," Redfearn said. "We're free now obviously to discuss things and talk about stuff, so I would expect next week we'll sit down and chat.
"The important part now becomes the recruitment part and if I'm going to be here I'd like to be part of that.
"It's important because if you recruit well and get the right players, you can supplement what we've done and this close season we need to recruit better."
