and shared a light-hearted exchange after final win ended a difficult season in fine fashion. It wasn't the first time the pair had jokingly taken shots at each other on live TV, repeating an interaction that occurred after Ten Hag's first major trophy in England.

The Dutchman's future is in serious doubt despite guiding United to a 13th FA Cup triumph at Wembley Stadium, beating 2-1.

He oversaw the club's worst-ever and campaigns, intensifying the natural expectancy of a change after inherited control over football operations in February.

Such a decision would prompt a mixed reaction among supporters, considering Ten Hag is the first United manager to lift major trophies in back-to-back seasons since Sir Alex Ferguson in 2011.

His maiden piece of silverware came at the first time of asking in February last year, beating Newcastle United 2-0 to win the Carabao Cup.

Amidst the celebrations after ending a six-year trophy drought at Old Trafford, Ten Hag was filmed dancing with Lisandro Martinez and Antony - two players he brought with him from Ajax in the summer of 2022.

During his post-match interview with Sky Sports, Keane shared his disapproval in characteristic fashion, jokingly urging him to resign for his actions.

Mark Chapman asked: "Will you be doing any more dancing? If you just take a look at the screen here... there was just a little bit of celebratory dancing at the end with Antony and Martinez! A bit more dancing tonight?"

Then, Keane interrupted: "You should resign after that! You should resign tonight!"

To which Ten Hag replied: "Never, never, never! We've done it before. We have a history with that. We hope we can do it [more]."

The 54-year-old went on to enjoy a successful debut season at United, finishing third in the Premier League and reaching the FA Cup final.

His side fell short against City last year, losing 2-1 as Pep Guardiola and Co. picked up the second of a treble, also winning the Premier League and Champions League.

But United avenged that defeat with a shock victory under the arch on Saturday through goals from Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho. Jeremy Doku's late strike piled on the pressure but was only a consolation.

When Keane jokingly told Ten Hag to resign 16 months ago, no one would've thought the Dutchman would have been at risk of actually losing his job at the end of this season.

But INEOS are currently completing a review of a drastically mixed campaign, which had been expected to result in Ten Hag's exit before FA Cup glory.
