Barcelona are reportedly keen on signing Port Vale teenager Liam Brazier. The 17-year-old attacking midfielder recently broke into the first team after a string of stellar performances for the under-18s but it isn't just Vale manager Paul Crosby he's been impressing.
According to the Daily Mirror, several Premier League clubs have been monitoring his progress closely while Barca are also keen on acquiring his services. This is despite Brazier only having three senior games under his belt for a League One side.
His first-team appearances came in the Football League Trophy against Crewe Alexandra, Newcastle Under 21s and Wrexham - all of which were from the bench. It isn't just Barcelona who are snapping at Port Vale's heels to sign the highly-rated youngster though.

Thankfully for Port Vale, if the interest does intensify then they will be able to command a fee for Brazier, who recently put pen to paper on a professional deal. It is understood they value him at around £750,000.
That wouldn't prove to be a record departure for the Valiants - Gareth Ainsworth's £2million move to Wimbledon in October 1998 still tops the charts in terms of incomings but a £750,000 cash injection would go a long way for any team languishing in England's third tier.

It's for that very reason that it will be difficult for Port Vale to keep hold of Brazier when the bids come flooding in. Brazier is on the cusp of breaking into England's under-17s after recording six goals and seven assists this season for the Port Vale academy.
However, a few niggling injuries have gotten in the way of his international breakthrough. The Staffordshire baller has previously been compared to Manchester City star Jack Grealish and can operate off the left or right, as well down the middle.
