Chelsea could be about to do something spectacular in the transfer market on the eve of the new Premier League season. Mauricio Pochettino has long been in the market for midfield reinforcements and now it looks as though the Blues are pushing for both Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo.
Chelsea host Liverpool in their Premier League opener on Sunday at Stamford Bridge and there could be some added intrigue to the spectacle as the two clubs battle it out for Southampton's Lavia.
Manchester United are also far from finished in the transfer market and Erik ten Hag is plotting further new arrivals for his squad with Harry Maguire heading for the exit door.
Arsenal are also set to complete the signing of David Raya from Brentford ahead of Saturday's clash with Nottingham Forest, who will be able to field Matt Turner between the sticks.

Bournemouth are set to complete a stunning last-minute transfer hijack by pipping Leeds to the signing of Norwich right-back Max Aarons at the eleventh hour.
The Canaries had granted the England Under-21 European Championships winner permission to undergo a medical at Elland Road on Wednesday - only for the Cherries to swoop in and derail the deal much to the dismay of his former boss Daniel Farke.
Bournemouth will pay an initial £7m plus add-ons for the 23-year-old while the agreement with Leeds was worth up to £12m including bonuses.
Aarons should complete the move in time to train with his new team-mates ahead of Saturday's Premier League opener against West Ham.
