With just under a week to go until the 2023-24 Premier League campaign gets underway, and the transfer window shutting at the beginning of September, teams are ramping up their business as they eye late recruits to strengthen their squads.
The future of Harry Kane remains the biggest talking point in this transfer window, with Bayern Munich circling to get their priority target from Tottenham. The German giants have made three bids and are awaiting Spurs' final response after setting them a deadline.
If Kane was to leave for pastures new, it would come as a mammoth blow to Daniel Levy and co, leaving Tottenham in a late scramble to replace their history-maker and captain.

Arsenal sporting director Edu is looking to complete as many as six deals before the transfer window closes after the Brazilian’s private chat with club legend Ray Parlour revealed the Gunners’ plans for the remainder of the month. Mikel Arteta’s outfit have already spent around £200million bringing Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber to the Emirates but it appears that Arsenal are unlikely to have concluded their summer business.
Parlour explained that while Edu had to remain coy on which specific players were being targeted, he explained that four players could leave the club this summer while Arsenal are hoping for two possible further additions as the Gunners look to go one better than last season and topple Pep Guardiola's side.
Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo has refused to join Tottenham this summer despite the Cottagers trying to force through the deal. Spurs are in need of another centre-back this summer and have identified Adarabioyo as a cheaper alternative to Crystal Palace's Marc Guehi, who is valued a £60m.
But according to FootMercato, Adarabioyo has no interest in a move to north London. The French publication claim he has his heart set on joining Monaco instead.
That's according to journalist Ben Jacobs, after United were originally unable to meet the Serie A club's asking price amid their own financial concerns.
United likely need to offload both Donny van de Beek and Fred in order to reach Fiorentina's £26million valuation of the Moroccan.
However, United are not under pressure to sell the pair swiftly as Amrabat is ready to bide his time to make a move happen.
Kylian Mbappeis reportedly house hunting in Madrid in anticipation of a dream move to the Spanish capital this summer. It was initially thought thatReal Madridwould opt to sign Mbappe on a free next year once his contract atPSGis up but reports in France suggest the La Liga side are preparing to make an offer for the Frenchman before the transfer window shuts at the start of September.
According to the French newspaper Le Parisien, Los Blancos intend to bid for the player by August 15 though they will have to fork out a lot of money to get the deal done. PSG reportedly want at least £172million for their star striker, who has informed club executives that he will not extend his stay at Parc des Princes past the end of next summer.
Chelsea are reportedly in talks with Crystal Palace about loaning them defender Lewis Hall as part of his progression.
Hall broke into the Chelsea team last season making 11 appearances earning himself an extended contract until 2026.
The left-back will face stiff competition from Ben Chilwell and Marc Cucurella this season and Chelsea could instead send him out on loan to London rivals Palace.

Tottenham have sent a message to Bayern Munich by giving Harry Kane the captaincy for their pre-season friendly against Shakhtar Donetsk.

The 19-year-old Argentine is set to sign from Rosario Central and join countryman Gio Lo Celso at Spurs.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported Velizas saying: “I just wait to sign my contract with Spurs, it’s imminent. I will say goodbye to the fans (at Rosario) with a formal message.
“I spoke with Gio Lo Celso and he told me that I will have his support”.
