Wayne Rooney hopes Marcus Rashford builds Man Utd legacy after new deal
Manchester United signing Rasmus Hojlund is a prospect bound to excite Marcus Rashford as much as the club's fanbase. Erik ten Hag is on a mission to sign a new striker this summer, and the Atalanta star's arrival could hand Rashford a season in his preferred position.

On the back of another campaign in which Rashford was used across the front line - yet still scored a career-best 30 goals - the presence of an out-and-out striker in the team may spark further improvement.
The 25-year-old has revealed he prefers to play on the left wing rather than upfront, which would become much more of a regularity if Hojlund joins.
"I do prefer left. I feel like it's easier to stay in the game on the left, and from when I was young, I've always wanted to be involved in the game," Rashford told Gary Neville on The Overlap.
"That's why I think I struggle with playing centre-forward sometimes because of my patience. You might not touch the ball for 20 minutes, and then your first touch might be an opportunity to score.
"You have to be mentally switched on. It's almost like a goalkeeper. They might not be involved in a game for god knows how long, but when it's time to make a save, they have to make it.
"I never enjoy that aspect of it, but I feel like as I've got older, I've started to enjoy it a little bit more when I do play up there."
After putting pen to paper on a new five-year contract at Old Trafford, Rashford is set to play a key role in Ten Hag's plans again this term.
And consistent minutes on the left would help him build on a sensational maiden year under the Dutchman.
