LGBTQ+ activist concerned by potential Qatari takeover of Man Utd
Sheikh Jassim has a ‘realistic chance’ of buying Manchester United due to the fact all six members of the Glazer family are ‘determined sellers’, it has been claimed. The Qatari billionaire launched a fourth bid for the club on Tuesday. However, it’s still not clear whether he or Sir Jim Ratcliffe will be successful as they look to claim power at Old Trafford.
While reports have suggested Ratcliffe is the frontrunner to buy United, Sheikh Jassim is refusing to throw in the towel.
The Qatari billionaire has launched four offers for the Red Devils, with the figure looking to acquire 100 per cent of the club - rather than the Glazers’ controlling share.
And journalist Ben Jacobs, speaking to GiveMeSport, has claimed Sheikh Jassim and his Nine Two Foundation have a ‘realistic chance’ of winning the race because of the stance of all six members of the Glazer family.
"My understanding remains that all six of them, at the right price - and that's the crucial thing - are determined sellers,” he said.
"If six are to leave, then the Nine Two Foundation still stand a very realistic chance of being Manchester United's new owners.

But United seem, at least, to finally be heading in the right direction again under current boss Erik ten Hag.
Meanwhile, Red Devils icon Peter Schmeichel recently outlined three priorities he’d like to see addressed by any potential new owners of the club.
Speaking on BBC Sounds' How To Buy A Football Club podcast, the former goalkeeper said: "In many ways it's an interesting position that the club finds itself in.
"There are very big challenges ahead in the next couple of years that need to be addressed.
“The big one of course is the stadium which is to some degree run down.

"The training ground needs a very caring hand, if you like. Maybe even a new training ground.
“And of course, Erik ten Hag needs money to keep on building what he has began this season."
He continued: "We don't know what's going to happen. We don't know if it's going to be worse or it's going to be better.
“I mean, we don't know anything. What we do know is that we need this to be resolved.
“We need to move on to the next phase. Because the longer it drags out, the harder it's going to be. And now is the moment."
