Ten Hag gives Man Utd team news update ahead of facing Wolves
Manchester United got their top four charge back on track with a 2-0 win over Wolves at Old Trafford on Saturday. Anthony Martial and Alejandro Garnacho stepped up to fire their side to victory, with former boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer watching on. And it means they’re now level on points with Newcastle - and four ahead of Liverpool.

Before Antony assisted Martial, the Brazil international annoyed his team-mate with his decision-making.
The Samba star curled an effort wide but failed to spot the run of his team-mate, who was seen looking frustrated and gesturing in the seconds that followed.
Moments later, however, Antony made amends.
But it speaks volumes about how frustrating the former Ajax star can be as he continues to adapt to playing in the Premier League following his arrival last summer.
United will need Antony to be better next term if he’s to ever live up to his dizzying £86million price tag.

Varane was missed
While Luke Shaw and Victor Lindelof didn’t do much wrong in the recent absence of Raphael Varane, the France international has clearly been missed over the past few weeks.
Erik ten Hag decided to start the former Real Madrid star following his return from injury.
And Varane produced a typically calm and composed display to keep Wolves at bay.
His return has come at the perfect time, with the 2018 World Cup winner poised to play a big part between now and the end of the season.
If only they had Lisandro Martinez available as well…

Wolves need a striker
For periods of the game against United, Wolves were able to dominate the ball and dictate proceedings.
But they desperately, desperately need a new striker if they’re to fare better next term.
Diego Costa provides a physical threat but it’s clear the Spain international is a shadow of the player who previously tore up the Premier League at Chelsea.
With just 30 goals from 36 league matches this season, Wolves have scored the least amount in the top flight.
And that’s something manager Julen Lopetegui will need to address.
