Arteta gives update on Arsenal's transfer plans ahead of Deadline Day
Arsenal have reportedly reached a problem in their pursuit of Real Sociedad forward Alexander Isak. Isak, 22, has been linked with a move away from Sociedad after impressing for the La Liga outfit.
The Sweden international has scored eight goals in 25 appearances for Sociedad this season, and has provided three assists.
According to The Independent, Isak is insistent on only joining a Champions League club, while Sociedad are not interested in selling the forward in January.
The same report also says that Sociedad are aware they can get more than £50million for the 22-year-old and will look for offers closer to the £100m mark.
Isak joined Sociedad from Borussia Dortmund in 2019 and has gone to score 38 goals in 101 games for the club.

The Sweden international’s best campaign came last term where he netted 17 goals in La Liga.
The forward’s reported stance will be a worrying sign for Arteta and Arsenal as the Gunners are by no means guaranteed a top four finish come the end of the season.
Arteta’s side are sixth in the table with 36 points from 21 games and are two adrift of fourth place Manchester United with a game in hand.
Antonio Conte’s Spurs and United look the more likely to pip Arsenal to the spot at present but there is still a long way to go in the season.
