Anthony Martial's agent has revealed his client wants to leave Manchester United in January due to his lack of playing time and talks regarding the situation will be held with the club in the near future. The development comes as no surprise given the Frenchman has started just two of United's 15 Premier League games this season amid the fierce competition for places in attack at Old Trafford.
The arrival of Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo has only seen Martial fall down the pecking order and now a new challenge is being eyed.
Martial has found himself linked with the likes of Tottenham, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund in previous transfer windows but he has remained committed to fighting for his place.
The attacker turned down a last-minute approach from former club Lyon on transfer deadline but opportunities have been few and far between since then.
Now his representative Philippe Lamboley has confirmed that Martial wants out as soon as January.

He has already help rejuvenate the form of Fred, Alex Telles and Diogo Dalot since arriving in the hot-seat and that could yet provide inspiration for Martial.
Pundit Alan Shearer recently compared the attitude of Martial to his compatriot Nicolas Anelka.
The former Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea striker was nicknamed "Le Sulk" during his Premier League career.
And Shearer believes Martial's body language on the field is often reminiscent to that of Anelka.
