Rangnick 'couldn't possibly turn down' Man Utd role
Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been caught up in a ‘hippy crack’ storm after footage emerged which appears to show him filming himself in a hotel room alongside friends who were inhaling from balloons. The 24-year-old missed his side’s 3-2 victory over Arsenal on Thursday night with a hand injury.
In the footage, which was obtained by the Daily Star, the right-back can be seen on a sofa next to a man who has a cannister of Smartwhip, which contains nitrous oxide – often labelled as ‘hippy crack’.
The video supposedly shows Wan-Bissaka singing and holding a red balloon, while his acquaintance sucks from another with the cylinder in his hand.
There is no suggestion that Wan-Bissaka inhaled from a balloon.
The former England under-21 international reportedly sent the clips to pals, while staying at the five-star Grosvenor House Suites in Mayfair last month.
The Daily Star reports that the footage also shows a private butler at the hotel’s Hyde Park Suite serving lunch to the player and at least three other people before they drive off in a chauffeur-driven car, where they are seen holding balloons and laughing.

Wan-Bissaka made three appearances for the Three Lions’ under-21 side but is yet to represent the senior England team.
The full-back finds himself playing in one of the most competitive positions for England, with the likes of Reece James, Kyle Walker, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Kieran Trippier all above him in the pecking order.
Despite not making it onto the pitch for his country, Wan-Bissaka has been called-up to the England squad in the past, although he missed out on selection for this summer’s Euro 2020.
And England boss Gareth Southgate explained why he left the defender out of his squad in November last year.

“It's an area of the pitch where we are blessed,” Southgate said. “We are probably stronger there than in any other position.
“Aaron is a very good defender, one against one he's probably as good as I have seen, but I have to look at the balance of the team and currently there are players ahead of him.”
