Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes has vowed that Cristiano Ronaldo will keep scoring goals after the former Real Madrid forward struck twice to help his side defeat Arsenal 3-2 on Thursday night. The Red Devils claimed just their second Premier League win in nine outings against the Gunners as they moved up to seventh in the table.
United fell behind in controversial fashion after Emile Smith Rowe lashed home from the edge of the box while David de Gea was lying on the floor with his back to play, seemingly injured.
A VAR check clearly showed that the keeper had collided with his own player, Fred, and the goal was awarded, much to the chagrin of the United players.
The hosts drew level just before the break, however, as Fred teed-up Fernandes and the Portuguese international guided the ball past Aaron Ramsdale.
Ronaldo then put his team ahead as he turned in Marcus Rashford’s cross seven minutes into the second half, but the north Londoners levelled moments later as Martin Odegaard swept the ball into the bottom corner.
And the game was ultimately decided by another VAR decision as the pitchside monitor showed Fred had been fouled by Odegaard in the penalty area after Atkinson had waved play on.

United have appointed Ralf Rangnick as their interim manager until the end of the season, and the former RB Leipzig boss was in the director's box on Thursday evening to watch proceedings unfold.
Rangnick is set to take charge of United’s Premier League clash with Crystal Palace on Sunday after his work permit was finally approved.
And the German will now be looking to build on his side’s recent displays as he prepares for a mouthwatering festive fixture list.
