Spurs are also working on a number of other deals in the background as the hard work continues in north London.
The club have now agreed a fee of £12.8million for Metz wonderkid Pape Sarr.
He will spend the rest of the season on loan at his current club before joining up with Spurs next season.
Tottenham have also seen an initial loan offer for Adama Traore rejected by Wolves.
The bid included an option to buy but Spurs may have to change that to an obligation in order to twist Wolves' arm.
