Four goalkeepers Arsenal could sign with Aaron Ramsdale transfer close to 'breaking down'
Arsenal still need to sign a new goalkeeper and Express Sport looks at who that might be before the window shuts.
Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana shows off skill in training
Arsenal are still on the lookout for a new goalkeeper after reports claimed a deal for Aaron Ramsdale has broken down. Ramsdale was the No 1 target for Mikel Arteta and the Gunners were said to be in advanced talks with Sheffield United on Wednesday. However, it is now claimed no agreement could be reached over a fee and Arsenal will pursue alternative targets.
On Wednesday, football.london said Arsenal were hopeful of signing Ramsdale for an initial £24million plus add-ons.
That would have made the Englishman the most-expensive goalkeeper in the club's history.
However, The Athletic says after face-to-face talks on Wednesday, no fee was able to be finalised and Arsenal will now look elsewhere.

Andre Onana
Lots of Arsenal fans would welcome the arrival of Onana.
The Ajax star has entered the final year of his contract and could be available in a cut-price deal.
Arsenal were linked with the Cameroon international earlier this summer.
However, he is not able to play until November due to his doping ban.
Arsenal need a goalkeeper now, which could work to the detriment of Onana.

Sam Johnstone
Johnstone was England's No 2 at Euro 2020 off the back of a fine season for West Brom despite their relegation.
At 28 and with less than a year left on his contract, he would be a cheaper option than Ramsdale.
Johnstone proved his quality in the Premier League last term but it remains to be seen if he would be open to becoming No 2 at the Emirates.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have been drawn against the Baggies in the second round of the Carabao Cup later this month.

Neto
Barcelona keeper Neto has been linked with Arsenal since the January window.
He is understandably keen for more regular game time after spending two seasons as Marc-Andre ter Stegen's deputy at the Nou Camp.
Barcelona are looking to raise money wherever they can so this is a deal Arsenal could make happen if they want to.
Daniel Bachmann
Last month The Sun claimed Arsenal were interested in Watford's Daniel Bachmann.
Bachmann impressed at Euro 2020 for Austria after becoming the Hornets' No 1 midway through last season.
However, Watford are keen on keeping the 27-year-old following their promotion back to the top flight.
