Euro 2020: Harry Redknapp says ‘I think we can take it on’
Following England's dramatic semi-final win over Denmark on Wednesday evening, Harry Redknapp has backed Gareth Southgate's team to go all the way at Euro 2020. The former Tottenham manager told GB News he is confident England will beat Roberto Mancini's Italy in the Euro 2020 final.
Mr Redknapp said: "Italy will be a counter-attacking team.
"Having watched them play Spain the other night and following them through the tournament, they are a good team, don't get me wrong.
"You do not go that many games without losing unless you are a good team.
"But I think England has got a better team, we have got better players and I am very confident.

"We knew it wouldn't be straightforward.
"When you've waited as long as we have to get through a semi-final, the players - considering the limited international experience some of them have - have done an incredible job."
Southgate added: "The most pleasing thing is we've given the fans and nation a fantastic night and the journey carries on for another four days,"
"We've got to enjoy the fact we're in the final but there's one more massive hurdle to conquer."
The England manager's also paid tribute to England's Euro 2020 final opponents Italy and particularly their center-backs, Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini.
He said: "We know the size of the task, we know they have those two warriors [Bonucci and Chiellini] at the back who have seen all this before,"
"But what a brilliant moment for us.
"Let's savour tonight then we can think about that on the coach back."
