Wild scenes as Harry Kane scores for England v Denmark
Harry Kane scored in extra time against Denmark, prompting scenes of wild celebrations up and down the country. The proud masses took to social media to praise the “absolutely superb” performance, which ended 2-1 after extra time.

One wrote on Twitter: “I thought England absolutely dominated extra time by the way, also, how they managed out the last 10 mins, was no Danish onslaught, England incredibly smart [sic].
“Kane was superb at getting England out, Sterling too.”
Footage from Piccadilly and Leicester Square showed over-excited England fans clamber on top of buses to celebrate.

Gareth Southgate, England manager, told ITV after the match he was “so proud” of the players for booking their final meeting with Italy on Sunday.
He said: “It's an incredible occasion to be a part of. We knew it wouldn't be straightforward.
"When you've waited as long as we have to get through a semi-final, the players - considering the limited international experience some of them have - have done an incredible job.
"The most pleasing thing is we've given the fans and nation a fantastic night and the journey carries on for another four days.
"We've got to enjoy the fact we're in the final but there's one more massive hurdle to conquer."
