Eriksen 'awake and stable' after collapsing during Euros game
This afternoon's Euro 2020 match between Denmark and Finland has been postponed after Danish star Christian Eriksen collapsed on the pitch. The game was 0-0 approaching half-time when Eriksen received a short throw-in. As the ball approached the Inter Milan midfielder, he appeared to fall to the ground.

When players from both sides walked off the pitch as Eriksen continued to receive medical help, the mood in the broadcasting studio was one of shock.
The likes of Cesc Fabregas, Micah Richards and Alex Scott were all visibly shaken by the incident, with the latter on the verge of tears when describing the events.
Scott said: "I can’t believe what we’re witnessing. I think football totally goes out of the window right now.
“You’re thinking about his family, all the rest of the players out there witnessing it as well.
“I actually just got on my phone and messaged my mum and told her I love her.
“I think it’s a reminder of how quickly life can change, just like that.”

Shortly afterwards, UEFA released this promising statement on Eriksen's wellbeing: "Following the medical emergency involving Denmark’s player Christian Eriksen, a crisis meeting has taken place with both teams and match officials and further information will be communicated at 19:45 CET.
"The player has been transferred to the hospital and has been stabilised."
The statement was certainly welcomed given how bleak the situation originally appeared.
Other tournament internationals have sent out their well-wishes on Twitter, including Ben Chilwell and Raheem Sterling, with the latter saying: "Thoughts and prayers go out to Christian Eriksen and his family."
The match restarted at 7.30pm after the request of the Denmark players.

Denmark have since confirmed that Eriksen is conscious.
They released the following statement which brings further hope that Eriksen can make a full recovery: "Christian Eriksen is awake and is waiting for further examinations at Rigshospitalet."
Fans inside the stadium have been told to stay in their seats and await further information.
The match has been temporarily postponed and more information is set to be released at 19:45.
