The Red Devils are one of many sides that have been consistently linked with Borussia Dortmund sensation Erling Haaland, but given the lengthy list of his potential suitors United may be forced to look elsewhere.
One option Ole Gunnar Solksjaer could explore is that of Fiorentina forward Dusan Vlahovic, who impressed a number of sides last season.
The Serbian international bagged 21 goals for the Serie A outfit over the course of the 2020/21 campaign.

His goal-scoring exploits have put Vlahovic on the radar of a number of the continent’s biggest sides, including Man United.
Recent reports in Italy suggest that United will have to do battle with Juventus for the striker’s signature, though Massimiliano Allegri’s side aren’t the only ones keen to lure the forward to their respective club.
Inter Milan, who ended nine-years of Juventus dominance this season by winning their first Serie A title for just over a decade, are also thought to be interested in Vlahovic.

Spanish giants Real Madrid have also made their interest clear, looking to provide some healthy competition for star-man Karim Benzema.
Vlahovic could well find himself plying his trade in Manchester next season, but for United’s fierce rivals Man City, who could look to replace the recently departed Sergio Aguero.
Fiorentina are rumoured to have slapped a £51m starting price on the striker, ensuring they are more than compensated should they go into next season without their leading marksman.
The striker’s contract situation puts Fiorentina in an interesting position, with Vlahovic’s current deal expiring in June 2023, this summer could present them with their last real chance to generate serious cash for one of their prized assets.
Juventus have reportedly declared they would be interested in exploring the possibility of a two-year loan, though United would be unlikely to follow suit – opting just to buy the player outright if a deal was to be struck.
With United alleged to be nearing a deal for Dortmund star and long-term target Jadon Sancho, the purse strings may not stretch far enough for a move for both him and Vlahovic.
In which case,Solskjaermay have to reassess his striking options at the end of next season when Cavani is likely to depart.
