Euro 2020: Southgate confident transfer saga won't distract Kane
Glenn Hoddle expects Harry Kane to be involved in transfer discussions with England teammates at the European Championships this summer. But he does not believe any talks will distract the Three Lions captain.
Kane is likely to be the centre of a transfer saga this summer, after reportedly informing Tottenham bosses he would like to leave the club.
Spurs, who finished seventh last year and remain managerless after sacking Jose Mourinho, will be desperate to keep hold of their star striker.
But Kane’s desire to leave could force chairman Daniel Levy’s hand and Manchester City and Manchester United are among the interested parties in the 27-year-old Golden Boot winner.
There are four United stars and four City stars who have been selected in Gareth Southgate’s 26-man squad.

Hoddle has experience of transfer talk and wouldn’t be surprised to see the same happen with Kane this summer.
"I'm sure it goes on. I don't think it would go on in front of the management, but I'm sure it goes on,” the former Three Lions boss said at a Betfair event.
"I remember talking to Ray Clemence as a player, trying to get him to come down to Tottenham from Liverpool. So yeah, it goes on, I can tell you that. But it wasn't something I came across that was that alarming as England manager, no.
