Premier League Clubs To Leave European Super League
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was among those to intervene this morning as a group of Manchester United supporters protesting against the Glazers stormed Carrington in a bid to cause disruption. United have now confirmed the series of events after images emerged on social media of masked supporters inside the AON training complex, holding up a series of banners.
“At approximately 9am this morning a group gained access to the club training ground," a United spokesperson said.
"The manager and others spoke to them. Buildings were secure and the group has now left the site.”
United have been forced to delay first-team training this morning because of the incident.
The club's involvement in the planning of the European Super League has caused fury amongst supporters, who were already desperate for the Glazers to pack their bags and sell up.

They were dealt another kick in the teeth earlier this week when it emerged that Joel Glazer and executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward were at the forefront of plans for the controversial breakaway, which was designed to protect the rich.
Fans wanted to make their feelings this morning when they entered Carrington just after 9am.
According to BBC Sport, Solskjaer was amongst those to hold talks with the fans in a bid to defuse the situation.
Michael Carrick and Darren Fletcher, who played for the club for a combined 32 years, also spoke to the angry supporters.

In his 2018 book, Carrick made it clear that he was a fan of the Glazers and what they have done for United.
He said: "The Glazers have been great owners. Couldn't really ask for anything more.
"The Glazers need a to of credit for how they have gone about it. United have progressed under their leadership both on and off the field."
The players were due to arrive at 10am, meaning most missed the drama before training.
But midfielder Nemanja Matic was in early and he is also alleged to have tried to calm things down.
The group of supporters posed for a host of snaps with their banners in front of the main building, outside the complex and even on the first-team training pitch before leaving.
They allegedly blocked both entrances during the protest, as they look to drive the Glazers out the door with Woodward.
The United executive vice-chairman confirmed on Tuesday night that he would be stepping down from his position at the end of 2021.
