Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has reacted after his side's 2-0 win over Burnley on Sunday. The Blues went into the match looking to build on their goalless draw with Wolves in midweek. And they did just that, with Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso on target.
Chelsea were too strong for Burnley, with goals in either half giving them all three points.
But it was another frustrating day at the office for Werner who, after being benched for the match against Wolves in midweek, couldn't get on the scoresheet.
It was a day where the Blues relied on their defenders to step up, with the former RB Leipzig star again looking a shadow of his usual self.
And, speaking after the game, Tuchel aimed a dig at Werner by saying the fact Chelsea won due to their defenders 'should be a signal to the guys up front'..
"Very pleased with the performance and very important to win," he said.
