Frank Lampard was understood to be leading the charge to sign former Chelsea academy star Declan Rice, who has excelled since his move to West Ham. However, Hammers boss David Moyes insists that regardless of who is in charge at Chelsea, Rice is not for sale.
Chelsea have been fired another transfer warning over their interest in Declan Rice by West Ham boss David Moyes.
The Blues are understood to have been monitoring Rice’s situation for some time now, with former manager Frank Lampard believed to be a big fan of the former academy star.
West Ham’s hopes of keeping the defensive-midfielder appear to have been given something of a boost following Lampard’s sacking.
But Moyes still felt the need to issue a firm hands off warning when it came to Rice, insisting that it is irrelevant who is in charge at Chelsea when it comes to negotiating a deal for his star man.

"No matter who was the manager at Chelsea, or whoever came in, it would have been the same answer.
"I said it right at the start and I'm only repeating myself - Bank of England money would be required, and you might even need to add Bank of Scotland on to that as well because he has been so good."
Lampard’s insistence to sign Rice is thought to have led to him getting the sack, though one win in the last five league games will no doubt have also contributed.
