Man Utd: Mason Greenwood 'has to put the work in' says Dunn
Manchester United may be using Amad Diallo to spark Mason Greenwood into life. The duo have been training together at Old Trafford, with pictures emerging before their recent Premier League showdown with Liverpool. And the club saw Greenwood improve to form in the FA Cup victory over the same opposition on Sunday.
United were too strong for Liverpool on Sunday, battling their way to a narrow victory at Old Trafford.
Things got off to a rocky start when Mohamed Salah found the net, with the Egypt international coolly chipping Dean Henderson.
And though Salah struck again after goals from Greenwood and Marcus Rashford, it wasn’t enough for the visitors.
United emerged victorious through the magnificent Bruno Fernandes, whose sensational free-kick sailed past Alisson Becker late on.
And, for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Greenwood’s showing was a huge positive.
“Marcus and Mason's position today was a little bit wider than normal, we know that if you are too condensed and let them defend narrow they will win the ball off you and counter attack off you very quickly,” he said after the game.

“Mason first composed himself well, let the ball bounce and finished it, same for Marcus, he had to wait for it but slotted it really nicely. Very pleased for them two of them.”
United have waited a while to see the best of Greenwood this season.
He scored 17 goals across all competitions, propelling the club back into the Champions League in the process.
But he’d gone 10 games without finding the net prior to the Liverpool contest and, on Sunday, looked back to his best.
Recently, training snaps emerged showing Greenwood and Diallo training together - with the latter recently arriving from Serie A side Atalanta.
