Man Utd vs Arsenal: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reacts to 1-0 loss
Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has received sympathy following his performance against Arsenal on Sunday. Pogba was guilty of conceding the penalty that Arsenal scored to win the game 1-0 at Old Trafford. The Frenchman accepted responsibility for his error after the match.
"But at times, when you look at his performances a little bit too closely, there was one play in the last five or 10 minutes of the game, he played a one-two at the top of the box, he then tried to play a one-two, I think it was McTominay in the box, went for the return and McTominay somehow got the ball caught under his feet, couldn't pick out the run of Pogba, deep in the Arsenal box.
"Now, for me, if you're talking about a club like Manchester United and what you expect from them and what you expect from their players, it was a basic return pass for McTominay.

"If he picked Paul Pogba out there then all of a sudden he's six yards away from Bernd Leno, albeit at a little bit of an angle, and somehow McTominay makes a mess of that return ball and you don't see the best side of Paul Pogba.
"A lot of times I feel that's where United have let him down.
"I'm not trying to cover up for the fact that at times Paul Pogba has let Manchester United down on a number of occasions, the penalty as I mentioned.
"But on other times, I think he is being let down and as a result we are now going to step away from this performance and talk about the poor sides of Paul Pogba, as opposed to what could have been had he had the support around him."
Following the Arsenal loss, Pogba blamed himself for the result after tripping Hector Bellerin.
"Myself, I cannot give a foul away like this," Pogba told the BBC.
"I thought I would touch the ball but I didn't. (I) cost us the goal today with the penalty.
"Like I say, details. We have to do better, the team, myself, it starts with me."
