The police officer involved in the incident has been suspended by Greater Manchester Police.

Police and public argue before Manchester Airport incident

New video footage has provided more insight as to what led to a shocking incident at Manchester Airport on Wednesday, which saw a police officer kick and stamp a suspect's head.

The first video that went viral showed the officer kicking the man despite the fact he had been tasered and was lying on the ground.

A lawyer representing the man who was kicked has revealed that the man has a cyst on his brain following a CT scan.

Now, footage has shown the officers using physical force on other men at the airport.

In one video, the police officers could be seen pointing a Taser at the three men while another officer was holding pepper spray.

A man shouts "we have not done nothing, we are just recording."

Another clip shows the police approaching the man before grabbing him. A third video shows an officer spraying the pepper spray at one of the men. The man covers his face.

The officer then puts the man in a headlock and drags him to the ground.

In another video, one of the men is behind the barrier when a police officer grabs him and tries to pull him through a gap.

The man's pockets are then searched. An officer is seen holding a collection of mobile phones.

Footage also showed the man who was kicked lying on the ground while two officers put their knees in his back as he is handcuffed.

Luggage could be seen spread across the floor along with what looked to be drops of blood.

Another man, who had been sat on a bench, was put on his back before an officer seemingly grabbed him in the face or neck.

A spokesperson for the force said last night: "Officers were called to reports of an altercation between members of the public in Terminal 2 at Manchester Airport.

"Whilst attempting to arrest one of the suspects of the earlier altercation, three officers were subject to a violent assault, where they were punched to the ground. A female officer suffered a broken nose and all three were taken to hospital for treatment.

"As the attending officers were firearms officers, there was a clear risk during this assault of their firearms being taken from them.

"Four men were arrested at the scene for affray and assault on emergency service workers. We acknowledge the concerns of the conduct within the video, and our Professional Standards Directorate are assessing this."

A new statement released by GMP this morning confirmed an officer was suspended after the incident.

The statement read: "Following a thorough review of further information that has become available in relation to an incident at Manchester Airport on Tuesday evening, Greater Manchester Police has suspended a police officer from all duties.

"A referral has now been made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct for a full independent investigation."
