Man Utd: Pundit gives opinion on Woodward backing Solskjaer
Manchester United chief Ed Woodward has been urged to hire Massimiliano Allegri if he ends up firing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer instead of Mauricio Pochettino.
United suffered another disappointing result on Sunday as they lost 1-0 to Arsenal at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils were unable to create enough going forward and were made to pay after Paul Pogba brought down Hector Bellerin inside the box, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang slotting home the resulting spot-kick.
United are now sat in 15th place in the Premier League table and are going through their worst home start to a season since 1972-73.
They are yet to pick up three points at home in the current campaign, having lost three of their four league matches at Old Trafford.

The result did little to limit the speculation suggesting Solskjaer could be fired if results don’t improve.
After their 6-1 defeat against Tottenham, it was widely reported that Woodward was considering letting the club legend go and replacing him with Pochettino.
The Argentine boss hasn’t managed since he was fired by Tottenham last year despite being linked with a host of different jobs.
But former Premier League midfielder Don Hutchison believes United should look elsewhere and bring in Allegri instead.

Allegri has been out of work since the summer of last year, when he decided to walk away from Juventus after winning five straight Serie A titles.
Like Pochettino, Allegri has been linked with various other roles, but is yet to find his next role.
Speaking to Premier League Productions, Hutchison said: “I just feel with Ole, and I’m an Ole fan and I like him, but I just feel like he’s the man before the man.
“I think he’ll do as well as he can do with these players.
“I don’t think he’s been backed, but having said that I think Ed Woodward has sanctioned over a billion pounds for him and other managers.
“But while there are people like Pochettino... and he gets linked all the time.
“I’m not sure why [he gets linked] when Max Allegri is sat out of work, and he’s won everything.
“I do get the feeling that if Ole doesn’t pick up results and pick them up quick, he’ll be under pressure.”
