Man Utd: Pundit accuses Ed Woodward of lying about transfers
Manchester United players are unimpressed at Ed Woodward for his failings in the summer transfer window, according to reports. The Red Devils supremo had hoped to land Jadon Sancho, Jack Grealish and Jude Bellingham. But the club missed out on all three players, instead settling for the arrivals of Donny van de Beek, Edinson Cavani, Facundo Pellistri and Amad Traore.
Manchester United went into the transfer window on a high having finished third in the Premier League table, securing Champions League football in the process.
However, the Red Devils endured a miserable summer - with the club missing out on all their top targets.
United wanted Borussia Dortmund star Sancho but he was deemed too expensive at £108million and, in the end, their pursuit failed.
Grealish was on their radar, too, but the England international ended up signing a new contract at Aston Villa instead.
And teenage wonderkid Bellingham joined Borussia Dortmund instead, despite United inviting him to their training ground where he met Sir Alex Ferguson.
Fans are unhappy and the mood around Old Trafford is very much one of doom and gloom at the current moment in time.

And The Athletic say United players are unimpressed by their failings on the transfer front.
Several players feel the club ‘did not fight to the death’ to enhance the squad for Solskjaer this summer and that the ‘sporting direction’ at the top of the club has too often been inconsistent in recent years.
And Sancho, Grealish and Bellingham were reportedly not the only players United missed out on.
They supposedly probed moves for Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly and RB Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano but the pair both ended up staying at their respective clubs.
And United were in the picture to sign Thiago Alcantara before his move to Liverpool, only to be ‘outmanoeuvred’ by the Reds.
Meanwhile, talkSPORT pundit Jamie O’Hara recently hit out at United and claimed everybody associated with the club was ‘weak’.
“They are weak, the whole club is weak. It is Manchester United. Have some passion.
“When I used to play against Manchester United and went to Old Trafford, you would turn up and they would outwork you, outrun you, outfight you and outplay you.
“You got absolutely nothing from them and if you did, Paul Scholes, Wayne Rooney and Carlos Tevez would smash you. You got nothing out of them.
“Alex Ferguson was on the side barking orders and every single player was at it at every single way.
“But this lot? They’re weak. Weak mentality and a weak football club.”
