Tottenham: Jose Mourinho discusses Dele Alli’s absence
Tottenham star Dele Alli needs a "fresh challenge" and Arsenal could be the place for him, according to former Spurs striker and Gunners fan Darren Bent. Alli has been left out of Tottenham's match-day squads for the last two Premier League games. The England international has been linked with moves to Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan in recent weeks.
Bent can understand if Alli would like a move away from Tottenham due to his lack of game time under Jose Mourinho.
The 24-year-old has scored 62 goals in 224 appearances for Spurs since joining from MK Dons five years ago.
But Bent does not think Alli should only be restricted to cup outings and reckons the attacking midfielder should look for a move elsewhere.
"For players at times, he’s been at Tottenham for a while now, and I think maybe he’s a product of a process where he’s been at Spurs, they’ve got to the Champions League final, but other than that, there’s been a couple of top-four finishes," Bent told talkSPORT.

Arsenal transfer news: Mikel Arteta has had a busy summer window (Image: EXPRESS)
Mourinho said: "We start with Harry Kane, with [Heung-min] Son, with Lucas [Moura], and then on the bench we have [Erik] Lamela and [Steven] Bergwijn.
"A little bit of rotation. And when the players are on the pitch they have to try to earn more minutes for the next match and for the next match they have to fight for that."
