Liverpool: Pundits discuss future of Jurgen Klopp’s squad
Liverpool assistant coach Pep Ljinders has confirmed Joel Matip will be unavailable for at least the next three games with an update on Joe Gomez and Jordan Henderson. Jurgen Klopp was forced to select Fabinho as a makeshift centre-back against Chelsea at the weekend with both Gomez and Matip out injured.
Klopp did hint before the game against Chelsea that young Billy Koumetio could have been in contention had he been fit to play.
And the 17-year-old is clearly highly rated by those at Liverpool as a star for the future.
"Billy Koumetio has a (fitness) check now," Ljinders added.
