Tottenham: Mourinho discusses ‘problems’ team faced on arrival
Tottenham completed their first signing of the summer yesterday when they confirmed that Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg had joined the club from Southampton. An initial fee of £15million was paid by the north Londoners but that could rise to £19m with add-ons.
Mourinho has been a long-term admirer of Hojbjerg and tied him down to a five-year contract.
Spurs also agreed to sell academy graduate Kyle Walker-Peters to Southampton for £12m
But there is plenty more transfer activity done at White Hart Lane this window as Mourinho looks to put his own stamp on the team.
Football Insider claim the former Real Madrid and Manchester United boss wants five additions.
First up Mourinho feels he needs a better back-up option for Hugo Lloris than current No 2 Paulo Gazzaniga.

Secondly the Portuguese manager wants an alternative to striker to Harry Kane and Heung-min Son - preferably a player who is versatile to play anywhere across the attack.
Mourinho has always built his teams on a solid foundation and a new right-back and centre-half are also thought to be on his wishlist.
Finally Spurs will apparently look to add another attacking midfielder to ensure their squad can fight on all fronts next year after securing Europa League football by finishing sixth in the Premier League.
Football Insider adds that all incomings must be met with player sales as Daniel Levy will not hand down an open cheque book.
