Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is edging closer to Tottenham as Spurs have reportedly had a £25million package accepted by Southampton. The clubs have spent two weeks talking and looking to finalise a deal for the midfielder.
Hojbjerg has just one year remaining on his Southampton contract and made it clear he felt the time was right to move onto a new challenge.
At first, that looked set to be Everton who had a £25m bid accepted for the player last month.
The Danish international even travelled to Merseyside for talks with Carlo Ancelotti about his plans for the club.
But as soon as he heard of interest from Spurs, he had his heart set on north London.

Tottenham have been tentative in negotiations though and did not originally want to pay as much as £25million.
They opened the bidding at around £14m but Southampton made it clear they did not want to be bullied into selling him for cheaper than their valuation.
Now according to talkSPORT, Tottenham have finally reached an agreement over a deal for Hojbjerg.
Journalist Alex Crook tweeted: "#THFC have had a bid accepted by #SaintsFC for Pierre-Emile Hojberg.
