Man Utd: Pundits discuss possible Jadon Sancho transfer
When it comes to Jadon Sancho, Manchester United are growing increasingly confident. There are rumours that the England international has been the subject of an initial £60million bid, which Borussia Dortmund are willing to accept. And the player’s shirt number is already decided ahead of any potential move to Old Trafford.
This summer, Manchester United are hoping that third time’s a charge.
They first attempted to land Sancho in the summer transfer window of 2017, back when Jose Mourinho was manager and the forward was at Manchester City.
That year, United failed. The forward, while he was an admirer of the Red Devils, instead chose to prioritise first-team football at Borussia Dortmund instead.
And then, only last summer, they tried again.
United lodged an enquiry to Dortmund, keen to sign Sancho having missed out on Champions League football under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
But they were rebuffed, with the 20-year-old rejecting the opportunity to play in the Europa League to remain in Europe’s top club competition instead.

There are claims of an agreement being reached with Dortmund, who are now supposedly willing to part ways with their star asset for a fee in the region of £60million.
And, ahead of any potential move to Old Trafford, the player’s shirt number has already been decided.
It will be the No 7. Of course it will. It’s the most-famous jersey at United and one they believe can inspire Sancho to scale sensational heights.
In the years since Cristiano Ronaldo upped and left for Real Madrid in 2009, the Red Devils have seen players struggle under the burden of expectancy.
