Ole Gunnar Solskjaer scores impressive goal in Man Utd training
Manchester United owners the Glazers will not be happy if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer benched David de Gea when Dean Henderson returns to the club, reckons former West Ham goalkeeper Shaka Hislop. De Gea has come under criticism for his performances in the last 18 months but that did not stop the club splashing out on a new £350,000-a-week contract for the Spaniard last September.
But there have been growing calls for Henderson to be given a chance between the sticks at Old Trafford next season.
Henderson has spent the last two campaigns on loan at Sheffield United and has been an integral part of the Blades' shock success since their return to the Premier League.
Hislop says he would definitely pick Henderson over De Gea but admits that decision may not sit well with the owners who only recently made the 29-year-old the highest-paid player in England.
"If it were me, yes [I would pick Henderson]," Hislop said.

"Quite simply I think Henderson has been playing better, has shown better form.
"The issue is De Gea, his history with the club and in particular the money he commands.
"That's a hard conversation to have when you have money men at the very top who may not appreciate the game for exactly what it is and more than the money that they've spent.
"It's hard to say 'I'm benching this guy' who's on [£350,000-a-week] and benching him and leaving him out.
