Liverpool: Pundits discuss possible Timo Werner transfer
RB Leipzig have used the example of Naby Keita, to try and persuade Timo Werner to stay at the club. Ultimately, it appears the striker has already made his mind up about an exit with Liverpool his preferred destination, leaving Leipzig powerless despite their best efforts to keep him onboard.

The club have a strong relationship with Liverpool, which materialised following the £53m deal for Naby Keita in 2017, in which negotiations were smooth.
But the Leipzig hierarchy have been keen to remind Werner that his former team-mate has failed to take off in England.
Last season's interim manager Ralf Rangnick used Keita against his best friend at Leipzig, Werner.
“Keita was an outstanding player here, but he’s still struggling at Liverpool,” he told Sky Germany last year.

“So far, he’s not the player there that he was here.
"The surroundings must be right for Timo. That’s the case here.”
It's a view that Leipzig officials have continued to hammer home to Werner in a bid to talk him out of a move to Liverpool.
This season, Keita has struggled again to make an impact at Anfield.
While injuries have played a leading role in that assessment, just like the case of Philippe Coutinho, the grass ins't always greener and that is the message Werner continues to receive from Leipzig.
