Tottenham: Jose Mourinho discusses transfer activity
Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho has made it a priority to sign another striker and the club have made Fenerbahce striker Vedat Muriqi a transfer target this summer, according to reports.
Spurs have relied heavily on Harry Kane to lead the attack, but when the England captain suffered an injury on New Year's Day his value to the team has been clear for all to see.
Mourinho has tinkered with his squad to find a solution, with mixed results, but the Portuguese coach could be looking to address the issue by signing another striker this summer.
According to Kosovo Football Federation president Agim Ademi, Tottenham are interested in Muriqi, who currently plays for Fenerbahce in Turkey.
The 26-year-old joined them last summer from fellow Super Lig side Caykur Rizespor and is having a great season in Istanbul.

"But there are also other teams in Italy who are interested in him.
"Tottenham were ready to pay whatever Fenerbahce wants, but since then, other Serie A clubs have entered the race, such as Napoli.”
Muriqi's contract with Fenerbahce will expire at the end of June 2023.
However, according to Italian publication CalcioMercato, Lazio are also interested along with Premier League clubs, Burnley and Aston Villa.
It claims Fenerbahce need to sell the striker this summer and are looking for a fee of £30million (€35m).
And while this amount might be too high for Lazio to continue their interest, it claims Premier League clubs have been sending scouts out to Turkey to watch his games.

One player Mourinho will not be able to sell to raise the funds for his summer transfer plans is Tanguy Ndombele.
According to Football Insider, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is determined to keep Ndombele at the club as he believes the midfielder has the potential to be a Premier League superstar.
The 23-year-old arrived for a record fee of £65m from Lyon last summer but has only made 27 appearances this season.
Mourinho hasn't shied away from publicly criticising Ndombele, who has struggled with injuries and fitness issues this campaign.
However, while the player had been tipped to used in a swap deal with Barcelona that could see centre-back Samuel Umtiti or right-back Nelson Semedo join Spurs, it appears this has now been put to bed following Levy's decision.
