Ryan Fraser shows off skills in Bournemouth training
Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho has been tipped to sign Ryan Fraser on a free transfer when his Bournemouth contract ends this summer and then convert the Scot into a wing-back to fit into his system.
That is the view of former Premier League striker Noel Whelan.
Fraser joined Bournemouth from Aberdeen in 2013 and the Scotland international has gone on to establish himself as a key player for Eddie Howe.
His performances for the Cherries have attracted the attention of Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea after scoring 24 goals and providing 33 assists in 208 appearances for the club.
However, Whelan thinks the Scotland international would fit well into Mourinho’s plans at Spurs.

“Tottenham have got rid of a lot of wing-backs recently so there is definitely an opening because they have no replaced them," Whelan told Football Insider.
“He has the athleticism to play that role, is dangerous going forward, and has the work rate and pace to get back and defend.
“The game has been transformed. It is not about getting to the half-way line and stopping. You are a defender and a winger.
