Man Utd: Paul Pogba tipped by pundit to renew contract
Manchester United insiders think Paul Pogba is destined to stay at Old Trafford, according to Bleacher Report. It’s said that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to keep hold of the 27-year-old despite Real Madrid and Juventus both keen on a summer transfer. And United’s current stance is bad news for Jack Grealish.
For two years now, United have had to put up with speculation linking Pogba with a move away from Old Trafford.
In the summer of 2018 he wanted out having seen his relationship with Jose Mourinho crumble. On that occasion it was Barcelona who were his preferred destination, but a deal with the La Liga giants was never struck.
And, last year, Pogba admitted it was time to pursue a new challenge elsewhere.
On that occasion he wanted Real Madrid, having seen Zinedine Zidane - a childhood hero - return to the Bernabeu.
Again, Pogba didn’t get his wish. And it now looks like the 27-year-old will have to stay at United for at least another year.
United insiders think the current climate, with the coronavirus crisis wrecking havoc across the footballing world, will mean them keeping hold of Pogba.

The club would still love to sign Grealish and, in an ideal world, would bring the Villa star to Old Trafford regardless of what happens with Pogba.
But this isn’t an ideal world these days and the Villa star may have to stay put - or move to another side.
United have other fish to fry.
Their top target for the summer transfer window remains Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho, who has excelled over in Germany this season.
And Grealish isn’t a priority. With Pogba set to stay, it means the 24-year-old’s hopes of a dream move to the Theatre of Dreams will have to be put on ice.
