Congo-born Tuanzebe has become frustrated at the limited opportunities afforded to him this season as he has only made 10 appearances across all competitions.
"It's just frustrating, it's very hard to deal with it, mentally," Tuanzebe told the Manchester Evening News.
"Just because you see everyone progressing and you want to be a part of that, I want myself to improve and to be denied that opportunity is very frustrating.
"And coming off the back of last season and doing so well on loan [at Aston Villa], I wanted this season to be special for me, but it's not gone to plan.

"But there is still time ahead to improve and get going again."
Tuanzebe also explained what he has been up to during the coronavirus lockdown.
He added: "To be honest, I've not really had much downtime because I've just been training. I try to make my routine as close to normality as possible.
"I'm still trying to get my training in with very good hygiene, eating correctly, all these factors. All the exercise, the right nutrition.
"I just try and stick to that routine. Obviously, we have no idea when this season will resume or if it will resume any time soon, so I'm just trying to get ready for that, really."
