Liverpool legend Ian Rush replied with another dad joke: "Plenty of time, no Rush."
Sadio Mane, Jordan Henderson, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Andy Robertson shared their appreciation with a like on the post.
Milner was clearly proud of his side and started the video by saying "Hi guys, here is the team for today..."
He then named his chosen XI with substitutes: "Joe Hart in goal, not a lead but a walker, Kyle Walker right back.
"David Silva, David Batty, (Wijnaldum) and Patrick Berger.
"Thierry Henry, Geoff Horsefield and on the bench Bread Friedel, Gabriel Heinz, (Frank Lampard), Ruel Fox, Titi Camara, David Healy and last but not least, Lewis Dunk.
"Managed by Fabio Capello."
Besides the injured Alisson, Xherdan Shaqiri, Nathaniel Clyne and Yasser Larouci, the Liverpool players have been told to train at home after football operations were shut down at Melwood due to the coronavirus.
