Liverpool: Klopp discusses his relationship with his players
Liverpool sporting director is not sold on Kai Havertz according to reports and is sceptical about breaking the bank to sign the 20-year-old. The midfielder has been tipped for a move to Anfield, with Jurgen Klopp deemed as the ideal coach for his development.
Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are also said to be in the hunt as the race for his signature intensifies.
Yet according to the Evening Standard, Liverpool are unlikely to move for the German international.
The report claims that Edwards is unlikely to shell out the kind of money that is currently being quoted for his services.
Bayer Leverkusen are demanding in the region of £90million and are hoping that a bidding war commences.

They do not want to lose their most prized asset, however, it would be hard to turn down that kind of money.
Liverpool would only be willing to spend that kind of figure if the player would be a guaranteed starter.
Havertz is not that as of yet, although he is likely to become a world-class player in years to come.
The European champions still remain interested though and will continue to monitor the situation.

The Leverkusen man has already made over 100 Bundesliga appearances and is a regular for Germany.
Speaking earlier this season, Havertz said he is already beginning to think about the next step in his career.
"I am honest, at some point the next step must come for me,” Havertz said.
“But I'm not going to worry about when exactly that will happen...
"I really don't know yet whether FC Bayern is the next and right step for me.
“I also don't know whether foreign countries would not be more suitable for me.
“I really don't think too much about it at the moment.
“I have that self-confidence, yes [that I could play for Bayern]. But the same applies to other clubs as well."
Liverpool are not short of options in midfield and therefore it seems unlikely they will look the strengthen that area when the transfer window opens.
