Thomas Lemar scores impressive goals for Atletico Madrid
Arsenal have been linked with a host of names this month but as of yet Mikel Arteta has not made any new signings. The Gunners committed to spending almost £140million last summer so may not have much room in terms of making permanent additions. Arteta confirmed on Friday he is still looking at potential incomings but only for the right profile of player.

Jude Bellingham
Manchester United appear to be frontrunners to sign Birmingham teenage sensation Bellingham after reportedly bidding £30m for him earlier this week.
However, Arsenal are also said to be interested and Birmingham’s wish for the player to return on loan for 18 months could sway it in the Gunners’ favour, who would not be able to pay the full fee up front.
Jerome Boateng
Links to Bayern Munich defender Boateng refuse to go away despite the German club stating they do not want to let him go during this window.

Arsenal are said to be keen on a loan deal for the former World Cup winner as a short-term solution at the back, with Calum Chambers out for up to nine months with an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
Layvin Kurzawa
Arsenal were said to be in advanced talks to sign Paris Saint-Germain left-back Kurzawa earlier this month, with the Frenchman struggling for game time under Thomas Tuchel.
However, his contract expires at the end of the season so could possibly be a free transfer signing for the Gunners in the summer instead.

Lemar’s career has stalled massively since he joined Atletico Madrid from Monaco in 2018 and reports in Spain have claimed he is close to joining Arsenal.
The Gunners were interested before he moved to Madrid and look to be keen again, although this again would likely be a loan move with an option to buy.

Mykola Matviyenko
The agent of Shakhtar Donetsk defender Matviyenko claims he has constantly been in talks with Arsenal over a transfer this month.
The 20-year-old has an asking price of £30m, so a loan with an obligation to buy would again be the most likely chance of a deal happening.
