“Yeah but it has to be the right player in the right context, that financially we can compete and we can attract, and all these factors to put them together is not easy in this market,” said Arteta.
Meanwhile, Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho has just completed his first deal as Spurs boss, after confirming the transfer of Gedson Fernandes.
After a long-term injury to star striker Harry Kane, Tottenham may be in the market to buy a new forward player to bridge the gap until the end of the season.
Mourinho confirmed that the club would be looking at solutions to the injury problem this month.

“If the boss arrives with a solution that can help us to face this difficult months that we are going to have ahead of us then be it, then welcome,” he said.
“But if we don't find the right solution the right opportunity then we are going to wait for the next summer to try to make the right decisions for the evolution of the team.
“So let's wait, calm, but in this moment my focus is total on the players that we have available. That's the way it is.”
Lemar has seen his value plummet since arriving at Atletico in July 2018.
