Krzysztof Piatek scores winning penalty for AC Milan
Tottenham are preparing for a £15million bid from AC Milan for Serge Aurier, but it could help them in their pursuit of Krzysztof Piatek. Kane’s injury will keep him out of action until April at the earliest, leaving Mourinho short of options up front.
Lucas Moura occupied the central position in the 1-0 defeat to Liverpool at the weekend, but Jose Mourinho has made it clear he doesn’t consider neither the Brazilian or Heung-Min Son as strikers.
That has seemingly made bringing in a central forward a top priority for Spurs this month and Piatek has emerged as a No 1 target.
AC Milan signed Piatek last summer after the Poland international enjoyed an incredible campaign for Genoa where he found the net 30 times in 42 games across all competitions.
But Piatek has struggled to adapt to life in Milan, scoring just four in 18 league games.

The Serie A giants are seemingly willing to listen to offers this month for the 24-year-old with Tottenham stepping up their pursuit.
And Football.London suggest the Premier League outfit may have an advantage with Milan interested in signing Aurier.
The report states Milan are prepared to pay £15m to sign the right-back but, given Tottenham’s lack of options in the position, they’re hoping for closer to £25m.
But Tottenham may be able to use Aurier as a makeweight to land Piatek if Mourinho is prepared to let the Ivory Coast international leave.
Another player seemingly closing in on an exit from Tottenham is Christian Eriksen, with Mourinho resigned to losing the midfielder.
The Denmark international has come under criticism from Spurs fans over the past year with his performance levels not up to what they’ve come to expect.
And Mourinho has suggested Eriksen has already made his mind up on where he plans to go next, although he refused to indicate whether that was this month or in the summer.
“I am not going to say anything about that. I don’t know but I know his future,” he said.
