He’s started 18 of Atletico’s 19 league matches this season.
He was only left out of a La Liga match against Granada as he had a suspension for accumulating yellow cards.
The 25-year-old has scored 36 goals for Atletico during his five-and-a-half year spell in Madrid.
He’s also been capped 25 times in the Spanish national team, scoring nine goals.
