Liverpool player ratings vs Wolves: Gomez bails out Van Dijk, Mane scores amid VAR fury
Liverpool restored their 13-point lead at the top of the Premier League with a hard-fought win over Wolves, but which of Jurgen Klopp's men impressed most at Anfield?
Liverpool: Trent Alexander-Arnold discussed by pundits
Liverpool moved 13 points clear at the top of the Premier League after beating Wolves 1-0 at Anfield. The Reds have now secured back-to-back clean sheets at home and still have a game in hand over the chasing pack.
Sadio Mane scored the only goal of the game when he fired in Adam Lallana’s knock-down, although the goal was initially disallowed for handball before a VAR review.
Wolves then thought they had equalised through Neto but the strike was ruled out after the tightest of offside calls, leaving Nuno Espirito Santo furious.
The away side pushed for a late leveler but Alisson denied Diego Jota and Adama Traore while Joao Moutinho and Romain Saiss blasted over when well placed as Liverpool held on for all three points.
