Liverpool: French 'players are too expensive’ says Jurgen Klopp
Liverpool fans were left dreaming of a blockbuster transfer for Kylian Mbappe after the French superstar liked a tweet comparing him to Trent Alexander-Arnold. The Reds' right-back put in a blinder of a performance as the Premier League leaders thrashed Leicester on boxing day.

Mbappe himself did little to squash the speculation, as he liked a Bleacher Report tweet comparing himself to Alexander-Arnold.
The French forward has been linked with a surprise move to the world champions after it was confirmed that Nike would be the club's new kit manufacturers, and reportedly want a big-name signing to launch their new kit.
And Mbappe - a Nike athlete - would fit the billing perfectly, as he has previously hinted he would be open to leaving the Parisiens for a new challenge.
Some Reds fans took that as a hint that Alexander-Arnold was publicly calling for the Paris Saint-Germain superstar to make the switch to Anfield.

"Just may as well announce him now Liverpool," one joked.
Earlier in the week, Klopp referenced Mbappe when discussing why there are no French players at Liverpool.
He insisted that "some are too expensive" as he appeared to dismiss the speculation.
"There’s no reason for it, there’s no reason for it," he said when asked about why there are no French players at the club. Kylian plays for PSG. [Antoine] Griezmann has joined Barcelona.
"Obviously you know how good your team is. We would like a French player but some of them are too expensive for us!"
